oh look, my first post!

its 10:07 pm in cairo and im sitting on my balcony; i can barley feel my toes.  i know what your thinking "go inside" no, i like the cold. its an excuse to snuggle up by the fire (or in my case, the tv), drink a warm cup of hot cocoa and think about life as the blood rushes to my body.

aah, life. i suppose that's the reason i started this whole blogging thing. sometimes, don't you feel like you need an escape? a chance to run away from all the things that bother you, and be lost in your own world? well, that's why i love writing so much. its like i can do anything. im the creator. i can choose whether i want to write something sad or happy, and in life, i think that's what most of us are deprived of; choices. the choice to do what you want, the choice to be with who you want, and the choice to change things for the better. 

i'm also not really sure what i'm going to be writing about here. i guess i'm just going to log on whenever i have something to say, or when i feel like i need a break from reality. i wonder if anyone will ever read these. well, if you're reading this, i hope you like my blog and stick around to read what i have to say. some posts might make you laugh and smile, and others might make you tear up. but hey, its my blog. its my choice. its my life. and i'm not changing that for anyone.
